ReMA 2024 Operations & Safety Forum

Scott Aikin, Director North & Latin American Sales, will be giving a presentation at the 2024 ReMA Operation & Safety Forum Inbound & Outbound Source Control and Radiation Detection session on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 9:45am.

Scott’s presentation will focus on why scrap processing yards need to improve the level of radiation protection at their yards. The presentation will also discuss why installed radiation detection systems can fail to detect radioactive sources in scrap metal shipments and list the most common radioactive materials being detected in scrap metal shipments that can contaminate a shredder if processed.

Visit us at Booth #9 at the upcoming Operations & Safety Forum in San Antonio TX, from November 11-13, 2024 to learn more about RadComm Radiation Detection Systems.

ReMa 2024 Operations & Safety Forum

ReMA Operations & Safety Forum is a day and a half event targeted to those involved in handling material, conducting maintenance, and other “hands-on” activities that are essential to operations and safety at shredder facilities.

A shredder is a major investment and must be protected with the best possible radiation detection technology. Monitoring for radioactive material on the infeed conveyor is considered a critical stage monitoring point and is the last point of detection before scrap is shredded.

RadComm Conveyor Systems are highly customizable to meet specific application requirements. Systems can be based on RC4000R PVT and RC7000 Crystal technologies.
